Kelley joined TH in June 2017. She is the 9th Executive Director of Thorn Hill. She graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a Bachelors of Science in Teaching (K-12) and with a Master of Arts in Health Education. Kelley has taught in the corrections setting assisting individuals achieve their educational goal (assistance in job training, workplace literacy, book clubs, etc), she has also been the English Language Learning instructor. She is a member of the Rotary, Optimist and Kiwanis Clubs. She is also on the Board of the Rotary and the Frankfort Center for Innovation.

Linda Weber is a graduate of Kentucky State University with an Associate in Applied Science, Administrative Support Services. She retired after 28 years of service from the Commonwealth of KY, Office of Vocational Rehabilitation as their Internal Policy Analyst.
Taisha Chandler, Admissions/Testing Coordinator taisha.chandler@ffclc.com
Taisha is a graduate from Kentucky State University with a Bachelors of Science in Early Childhood Development. She has been the testing coordinator for over eight years. She is noted as one of the top KAERS specialist in the state. She also is a PRO-V proctor.

Chris is a Rank I Teacher with over twenty-five years in public school, university, and corrections classrooms in rural and urban Alaska, the United Kingdom, and Kentucky. He spent a year at the Smithsonian National Museum of the American Indian as their Teacher In-Residence. Chris has two Master’s; the first in Educational Leadership from the University of Alaska Anchorage and the second in Gifted Education from Eastern Kentucky University. He is completing his fourth consecutive term on the Kentucky Native American Heritage Commission. Chris is married to Brandi Robinson and has two athlete daughters at Madison Middle School and Madison Central High School in Richmond.

Trina started at THEC in July of 1990 where she taught GED classes. She implemented the WIN program in 2000 with tremendous success. The WIN program was consistently ranked one of the top programs in the state due to her dedication and perseverance. Her past experience is teaching in the public schools. She graduated with a Bachelors degree from EKU and received her Masters Degree from Georgetown.

Frank joined Thorn Hill in 2015 and has been instrumental in the WIN program. He graduated from Kentucky State University with a teaching degree in physical education. Frank previously served in the US Navy Hospital Corp from 1979-83. He is also a licensed massage therapists and owned and taught at a massage therapy school.

Craig has an extensive background in mathematics. He is an Air Force Veteran, serving eight years. He is a certified substitute teacher in Franklin County. Craig also travels throughout the state administering the GED in correctional facilities.

Lisa Marie Scott is a native of Frankfort, Kentucky, a graduate of Franklin County High School and attended Murray State University. Lisa has taught in Franklin and Scott counties since 1997 and is presently substituting for grades K -12. Lisa is passionate about sharing the joy of reading by mentoring to students and families.

Lisa has been at Thorn Hill since June 2022. She works in all areas of the Adult Education program. Lisa is a proctor for GED tests and other Pearson tests. She is also responsible for gym and room rental contracts.

Jeana started at Thorn Hill Education Center in January 2023. She is a graduate of Bluegrass Community and Technical College and Western Kentucky University with an Associates of Arts and an Associates of Interdisciplinary Studies in Education and Social and Behavioral Sciences. Jeana works as the Assistant Family Literacy Coordinator.

Austin started his time at TH as an intern in IT and Technology in August of 2022. After a successful internship, he was hired to become Thorn Hills Technology and Computer Specialist. He is attending college working on a degree in Computer Information Technology.

Dr. Kay Combs comes to Thorn Hill with an abundance or knowledge and experience in the adult education and children’s education worlds. She has experience with Headstart, Adult Education, Family Literacy and English Language Learners.
