March 18, 2025 thru May 13, 2025- PLAY WITH A PURPOSE– Thorn Hill Education Center 5:30-6:30PM. Join the staff from Paul Sawyier Public Library to learn activities and ways to play purposefully with your child. This is for parents/caregivers and children 3-5 years old. Those enrolled in this program will meet Tuesdays from 5:30-6:30 weekly from March 18-May 13 at Thorn Hill. Book Babies: Paul Sawyier Public Library, Wednesdays, March 19 & 26, at 6:00 PM, Mondays, March 17 & 24, at 11:30 AM, Join us for stories, songs, and rhymes designed especially for our youngest patrons (ages 0-23 months) and their parents or caregivers. PACT TIME
Parents and Tots, Paul Sawyier Public Library, Tuesdays, March 18 & 25, at 6:30 PM, Mondays, March 17 & 24, at 10:30 AM, Young children (ages 2-3), accompanied by an adult, are introduced to simple stories, fingerplays, and activities. PACT TIME
Preschool Storytime, Paul Sawyier Public Library, Tuesdays, March 18 & 25, at 11:30 AM, Join us for stories, songs, crafts and other activities for preschoolers, ages 4-5. PACT TIME
March 19, 2025- Reading Skills Tutoring, Thorn Hill Education Center, 4-5PM. This is open to children in grades K-12 to come and work with an instructor to improve reading skills. PACT TIME
March 22 and 29, 2025: Recovery Cafe Frankfort- If you are in recovery and would like support, this group meets every Saturday from 10am-4pm. PARENT TIME
March 24, 2025- 4-H Cloverbuds-Franklin County Cooperative Extension Office 5:30-6:30PM. Children 5-8 can learn new skills in all areas of 4-H. PACT TIME
March 24, 2025: Cup Weaving, Paul Sawyier Public Library at 6:30 PM, Weave together a beautiful cup to take home. PACT TIME
March 25, 2025- Building Strong Credit- Financial Literacy Workshop, Bridgeport Elementary School, 5:30PM. Learn about managing your finances and building your credit. PARENT TIME
March 25, 2025- THRIVE at Thorn Hill, Thorn Hill Education Center, 3:30-5PM. Support group for parents and caregivers discussing mental health and wellness tips. FREE. PARENT TIME
March 25, 2025: Simple Science, Paul Sawyier Public Library, at 4:30 PM, Let’s get messy with simple science experiments that are fun for all ages. We will be experimenting with pop rocks candies. PACT TIME
March 26, 2025- Spring Garden Kit Giveaway- Franklin County Cooperative Extension Office, 8AM-6PM. Visit the extension office to pick up a free Spring garden kit that includes plants, seeds, and informative handouts. You can stop by anytime between 8 AM and 6 PM. Additionally, there will be an in-person talk with our Horticulture Specialist, Adam Leonberger, at noon. Registration is not required, but please note that quantities are limited. (PACT TIME/PARENT TIME)
March 26, 2025- Reading Skills Tutoring, Thorn Hill Education Center 4-5PM. Open to grades K-12, Free. Parents must remain on the school grounds while the child attends tutoring. CHILD EDUCATION
March 27, 2025: Back to the Basics: Basic Microsoft Word- Paul Sawyier Public Library 1-3pm. Learn basic Word Processing skills, including how to format, edit, and print documents and more. (Adult Education)
March 28, 2025: Family Storytime, Paul Sawyier Public Library, at 10:30 AM, Meet us in the Program Room for a traditional storytime!PACT TIME
March 29, 2025: Community Service Day at L.I.F.E. House for Animals, Saturday, March 29, from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM | L.I.F.E. House for Animals, Experience a day as a L.I.F.E. House volunteer. Participants will explore stations and learn about the different jobs available for volunteers. All ages are welcome. Children must be accompanied by an adult. PACT TIME
March 30, 2025- Healing at the Horse Park, KY Horse Park, 1-3PM. Families experiencing loss can come for crafts, games, and healing through horses. Only open to the first 15 families, Click Here to Register! PACT TIME
March 31, 2025- Seed Day, Thorn Hill Education Center 5-6PM. Learn how to start seeds and help us grow the community garden. Great for families. No registration required. PACT TIME

April 6-12, 2-25: Statewide Job Fair, Paul Sawyier Public Library, April 6-12th. To celebrate National Library Week the Kentucky Dept for Libraries and Archives is having this statewide job fair. Come by to learn more. If you need help developing a resume before this event, please contact Thorn Hill Education Center to set up an appointment at 502-875-1481. ADULT EDUCATION
April 12, 2025- Reforest Frankfort- 404 Wilkinson Blvd, 9AM-1PM, Help plant trees with other members of the community at Riverview Park and learn of the importance of reforestation. PACT TIME

April 12, 2025- Kid’s Adventure Day, Yes Arts at 317 West Second Street, Frankfort. Expree Credit Union is hosting their annual Kids’ Adventure Day filled with games, inflatables, food, petting zoo, bubble station and so much more. It is free to the public. Come out to Yes Arts location at 317 W. 2nd Street in Frankfort. Enjoy all these activities and learn about local non-profit partners including: Simon House, Be Smart, Just Say Yes, Franklin County Health Department, Thorn Hill, Wanda Joyce Robinson Foundation, William Joseph Crisis Nursery, Capital City Museum, CASA of the Bluegrass, Boys and Girls Club, LIFE House for Animals, Farmer’s Market and more.
